Tillandsia Gardneri is an epiphytic species native to countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago, where it grows and develops on rock formations and stones at latitudes of up to 1600 metres above sea level.

This specimen has slightly curved leaves, velvety to the touch and a greyish-green colour, although it can sometimes be greyish-blue.
It produces a large flower spike of pale tones ranging from red, pink or lavender, ending in multiple flowers of the same colours in more intense tones.
It requires bright sun exposure, preferably in a dry environment with good ventilation.
Daily watering by spraying is recommended in summer, even twice a day if the plant is exposed directly to the sun in very hot places, with watering once or twice a week being sufficient in colder months.
In compositions with lichen or moss it is preferable not to cover the base of the plant to avoid rotting.
