Rucola need sun exposure to grow so you should place your plants in a sunny position but we must keep in mind that too much sun causes too bitter taste in their leaves. Therefore, it is best planted in spring. As for the climate, it is best grown arugula in areas with warm climates but mild temperatures, typical of the Mediterranean. The rocket is adapted to all types of soils but prefers those that are calcareous, permeable, rich in organic matter and well drained.
