Vriasea duvaliana
Available
€6.00
Vriesea duvaliana is native to Brazil.
The perennials prefer a sunny situation on fresh to moist soil. They tolerate temperatures only above at least 1°C. When cultivated as an epiphyte the plants are mounted on a piece of bark or a branch (e.g. Taxus or Thuja) and the roots are wrapped in Sphagnum moss. Under glass use a mixture of bark chaff, leaf mulch and sharp sand.
In summer the plants prefer high humidity, protection from hot midday sun.
