Tillandsia rare in culture, being native to Mexico. It is located at different heights up to 2500 meters. Small epiphytic plant with a short stem, pretty thin sheets and bent at the ends, the ends are triangular and curved at the ends. Usually simple, flat, with some flowers on a robust peak inflorescence. The primary bracts are similar to the leaves. The floral bracts are long and pointed, longer than sepals that are very scaly (hence the name of the plant).
