Tillandsia Andreana is a saxicolous species, rarely epiphytic, native to Colombia, where it grows and thrives in cliff areas at latitudes ranging from 500 to 1800 metres above sea level.

This specimen is spherical in shape, with multiple thin, tapering leaves that are curved at the top and change colour in pre-flowering, from shades of green to orange at the tips.
It produces a beautiful large, crimson-red flower in the centre and is one of the most elegant Tillandsias in existence.
It is a very rare air plant variety. It shares its habitat with Tillandsia Fuchsii.
