Zecheri cafayatensis Tillandsia
This variety, native to Argentina, develops and grows on rocks in latitudes above 1500 metres above sea level.
Tillandsia Zecheri is noted for its greyish leaves, broad at the base, ending in a point.
It produces a robust flower stalk culminating in a pink bract, together with several trumpet-shaped purple flowers.
It requires a rather sunny exposure and relatively dry climates with good ventilation.
In the warmer months spraying with water every other day is recommended, once a week being sufficient in the cooler months.
