Houston Twin Tillandsia
Tillandsia Houston Twin is a hybrid formed by Tillandsia Stricta as seed parent and pollination of Tillandsia Recurvifolia.
This specimen inherits the main characteristics of its parents, its leafiness and the floral rosette it gets from the Stricta and its silvery colour due to the large amount of trichomes that cover its leaves from the Recurvifolia.
It receives the nickname "Twin" due to the fact that they are two twin plants joined together to form a whole with the appearance of being a single plant.
After flowering the plant usually produces 2 to 5 "offspring" creating small clumps (pulk, clump) in a few years.
It is a very resistant plant to hot climates although it needs a good ventilation.
Support/bark not included.
